Connie Davidson
Connie Davidson was born in Conyers, Georgia, and graduated from Rockdale County High School in 1975.
She received BS in Elementary Education, MS in Elementary Education, and MS Reading Specialist degrees from Jacksonville State University and played on first JSU women’s basketball team in 1975-76.
Davidson has more than 25 years experience in education in state of Alabama. She has served on Alabama State Department of Education Alabama Reading First Initiative regional staff with the JSU Inservice Center, been District Reading Coordinator for the Oxford City Schools, a reading specialist and an elementary classroom teacher. In 2003, she became Director, Regional Implementation Services SE, with Voyager Expanded Learning, Inc.
She has been a writer for the online magazine, Inside Alabama High School Football, for weekly articles aimed to mentor, support and encourage high school coaches’ wives throughout the state.
Connie is married to Larry Davidson, former Oxford High head basketball and assistant football coach and current Athletic Operations Administrator at OHS. They have two daughters, one granddaughter and two grandsons. Keeli is married to Dwain Waller and Ali is married to Nathan Hargrove.
Connie and Larry live in Oxford with their dog, Sam. The Davidsons are members of First Baptist Church in Oxford.
